| A review by Sandra Scholes
Salim is the sort of man who never takes people at face value; there is too much danger involved in him trusting
people, so he has to make sure he can watch their every move. He is not called the Death's Heretic for nothing.
The Pathfinder Tales are set in many different worlds, and for those who are interested in other
novels in the series, here are a few titles; Prince of Wolves by Dave Grim, Winter Witch by Elaine
Cunningham, Plague of Shadows by Howard Andrew Jones, The Worldwound Gambit by Robin D.
Laws, Master of Devils by Dave Gross, and Song of the Serpent by Hugh Matthews.
James L. Sutter is also Paizo Publishing's Fiction Editor and a top designer of the campaign setting
for Pathfinder. He has worked on many design supplements and has published more than 25 short
stories which are in magazines like Apex, Black Gate, and Machine of Death,
this one becoming an Amazon #1 bestseller. Before They Were Giants is the anthology where published authors
get to share their talents with readers. All novels in the Pathfinder series are all stand-alone
adventures penned by some of the best writers in science fiction and fantasy today.
Readers are able to journey through the worlds through the eyes of the many characters whether they are
warriors or thieves. These novels have also won three top ENnie Awards for the best campaign setting. In
this novel readers can immerse themselves in the pseudo Middle-Eastern setting where daunting gods exist
among cruel servants of evil.
Sandra thinks that the sunshine is very deceptive this time of year, especially when the flowers are in full bloom, and we had snow the other day. She is a writer of short fictional stories, and in her spare time she writes for Active Anime, Love Romance Passion, The Chronicles, and Love Vampires. |
