I am second to none in my love of Flash Gordon. I have a complete run of the comic strip, all the serials and
movies, and I did commentary on the Filmation Flash Gordon DVD. I publish Flash Gordon written by Harry Harrison
every month in Comics Revue, and my publishing company has a Flash Gordon book by Dan Barry coming
out later this year, Flash Gordon -- Star Over Atlantis. But, from all I hear, the SciFi Flash Gordon is
going to be really dumb. I hope I'm wrong.
Masters of Science Fiction seems to err on the other side, by being too high brow, too much like Rod
Serling's Twilight Zone. I hope I'm wrong about that, too.
Here is what's on in August. There are only two episodes of The 4400 in August but the series you can't
kill with a stick returns in September.
On TV in August
Further ahead, Farscape returns -- but only on the web. In the future, no TV show will ever die.
