I'm enjoying Smallville and Heroes.
Smallville has a great set design for the Daily Planet (totally
unlike the set design in the movies). In the TV series, the Daily Planet is
crowded, busy, and baroque. This season Supergirl and the Martian Manhunter
guest star. They never call the Martian Manhunter J'onn J'onz and he is appropriately
grim and spooky. Speaking to Clark Kent, "Your father and I had a 'don't ask, don't tell' when
it came to crime and punishment. I suggest you and I do the same." As in the comic book,
Clark wants Supergirl to keep her existence a secret. Unlike the comic book, Supergirl refuses to listen.
Heroes introduces several new regular characters, and it is getting harder and
harder to tell the good guys from the bad guys. Some people don't like the Hiro in ancient Japan
story line. I like it a lot. I also like the new Black and Hispanic characters. Nobody can accuse this series of tokenism.
Nichelle Nichols has a small part, does a great job.
In late November, we get a new Battlestar Galactica. I plan to wait
for the longer DVD version, out in early December.

And Stargate Atlantis has been renewed for a fifth season.
