Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles continues to ask hard
questions: Do robots feel? Does torture work? If two people travel to our time intending to change the
future, do they necessarily come from the same future? Terminator follows the lead
of Battlestar Galactica in having a "Fall finale." My guess is that we will also have two
DVD sets, Season 2a and Season 2b. Terminator has been renewed for 9 more episodes.
After the December 15 episode, Heroes goes on hiatus, and we won't get the conclusion
of the "Villains" story line until February. After that, who knows? As more and more people watch
Heroes on-line or use a DVR to skip commercials, renewal for a fourth season becomes
more and more unlikely. The future of television seems to be cheap reality shows, and we will have
to turn to some other medium for our science fiction fix.

And then nothing but reruns and holiday specials.
Battlestar Galactica and Lost return in January.
