Ratings
Ratings are based on a four star system.
One star means that the commercials are more entertaining than the program.
Two stars watch if you have nothing better to do.
Three stars is good solid entertainment.
Four stars means you never dreamed television could be this good.

Doctor Who I've decided never to watch television ever again. Cable is expensive, commercials are annoying, and the ads inset into the picture during the story are intolerable. The last straw was Doctor Who Season 6b premiere, when BBC America had a "countdown" to the next program throughout the entire show.

And there are plenty of alternatives. Doctor Who, for example, comes out on Blu-ray at the end of this month, with no commercials. For other programs, there is Amazon streaming video, Netflix, Hulu, and many other options. Also, more and more programs are not shown on tv at all, going direct to one of the other content providers. So, it will give me great pleasure to tell the cable tv service to fuck off.

The best television in May is Doctor Who.
