Sporeville - A Victorian SF Novel

Postby Batô » Tue Sep 04, 2007 6:56 pm

Hi - Sporeville, the first book in a trilogy called The Wellborn Conspiracy, just came out today (Sept. 4)
http://www.paulmarlowe.com/pm/sporeville.htm
It's an SF story set in 1886 Nova Scotia, and intersects with some of my Victorian paranormal short stories.

There's a bit about Sporeville on my website at the above link, but I'm interested in suggestions of what readers would like to see - a synopsis? excerpts? a sample chapter?

Thanks!

PM

P.S. Here's a recent review of Sporeville:

"Fans of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy will certainly enjoy this novel. In fact, readers who like gothic literature, science fiction, fantasy, and history will all relish this book... I cannot wait for the sequel...It was absolutely the best, most delicious thing I have read in some time."

Ten Golden Roosters

Postby Batô » Sun Dec 16, 2007 1:17 pm

My latest short story, "Ten Golden Roosters", is in the November 2007 issue of The Willows http://www.thewillowsmagazine.com/.

The Willows is an atmospheric horror and dark fantasy magazine with an emphasis on the traditional weird tale, in the classic style of Blackwood, Dunsany, Hodgson, Machen, Lovecraft, etc.
