It is time for the 2009 Hugo nominations. You can push your favorites to the top of the stack (if you joined last year's or this year's worldcon -- supporting memberships now available). As few as a dozen votes can put a short story on the ballot! Tell us what you enjoyed in 2009 -- you may win your favorite a Hugo!

Damn, you've reminded me again that I'm way behind on my Hugos - I've only read 3 or 4 from each decade, none from the 90s , and were it not for the recent boom in domesticated fantasy it would be none from the 00s as well...

Here is where you go if you want to nominate for the Hugo awards. They have a "best graphic novel" category this year, and I'm hoping that Phil Foglio's Girl Genius, The Voice of the Castle makes the final ballot.

Well I've learned a new word: semiprozine, sounds like some kind of psychoactive drug.

And I see that the misguided loyalty of the Browncoat Brigade has pushed the mediocre Serenity: Better Days into the top 5 comics.

Semiprozine is a drug to cure your depression caused by the failure of a prozine to publish your letter in the lettercol.
