I have read a wide range of Iain Banks and SF Iain M. Banks and think he is a fantastic author. The last book I read was The Algabraist which was excellent. His Culture books a brilliant also.

However, I'm curious, theres not much mention of him in the US how well does he do there? Just interesed in this really!

I have read most of what I could get ahold of by him and am only holding onto a few unreads for a future treat.

It tends to be hard to find his books here. It took me years to get my hands on most of his SF. My library is carrying his latest - The Algebraist and I also thought it was excellent.

His Culture is a fascinating future.

Others that I co-respond with about SF seem to feel the same way.
Banks is great, but hard to find. And once found, mostly kept. Very hard to find second hand.
