Hi,

Does anyone remember a pair of books called Brave Free Men and the Anome, or similar, by Jack 'somebody?' It was an old book but I can't remember the author. I think I enjoyed them but will have to read them again to make sure...lol
Thanks to anyone who might know.

Highly recommended by Jack Vance:

Big Planet

He wrote a lot of good books, but that is probably his best. Also, his short story about Chun the Unavoidable is a classic. I forget which book it is in.

The story with Chun the Unavoidable in is 'Liane the Wayfarer' which forms part of 'The Dying Earth' collection. Jack Vance is definitely one of the great SF and fantasy writers of our time.
