One of the best 1980’s cartoons, right next to He-Man of cou

Finally I can now enjoy 1980’s cartoons at their greatest. The show is called Blackstar, and it’s finally coming out on DVD and on a special two disc edition with all the 13 animated episodes. That isn’t even the great part though; some of the episodes are coming with storyboards that show how the episode was created! How sweet is that? If you’ve never heard of Blackstar it’s ok, however you would be missing out on a great piece of 1980’s actions cartoon classics.

Blackstar

I remember Blackstar. It was pretty good, but none of the old Saturday morning cartoons hold up in comparison to Anime or even the American cartoons since Batman Beyond.
This is the race that will rule the sevagram!

My favorite cartoonist is Gahan Wilson, who wrote sf/fantasy/horror cartoons for years. Hilarious stuff, worth looking for.

Blackstar was definitely inferior to other action cartoons of the time, notably Battle of the Planets.

That probably wouldn't stop me from falling in love with it, if I were a kid.
