I got Olaf Stapledon, which convices me that the answers are generated randomly. Stapledon is one of the few SF authors I strongly dislike.

Rarely do these online polls turn out so well for me. I failed the Moon Survival Challenge miserably with 42% (http://www.justsayhi.com/bb/moon).

Oddly that's the same rating I get for my effectiveness as a human shield (http://www.justsayhi.com/bb/view2/human_shield).

But Frank Herbert? That I can live with.

Alex, I took that quiz before, and also ended up being Hal Clement. I'm flattered, but skeptical.

I was surprised. I was hoping for Heinlein, and figured I am a lot like my favorite author, so I was a shoo-in. I guess I'm not altogether disappointed though. While she was probably insufferable at parties, she turned out to be right about a lot of things. You know, disregarding the weird female subservient thing.

I am Ayn Rand.

I'm Gregory Benford. I have no objection to that, but I get the feeling I'm more like Philip K. Dick even though Heinlein is my favorite SF author. I wouldn't want to be Heinlein though, except for his writing skills from the 1950s. I wish I could write something as great as Timescape.

Oh that was fun! Thanks for the link.

Stars must be aligning in my favor, as apparently I'm Tiptree/Sheldon.
I should be so lucky. And have such an outstanding jelly jar of a nom de plume.

I vacillate between loving Stars or Demolished Man more, but both are ever stuck in my top five or so favorites.

I'm apparently Clement. Must do more reading.
