As many times as I've frequented the bookstore, and until Kindle I was there at least twice a week, I've never purchased F&SF magazine. Why I'm not really sure. Honestly I thought if a story was really short it just wasn't worth reading. However having read this interview, and particularly the story basis for "Enfant Terrible", I've decided that I was stupid -- for lack of a more elequent word -- for not having sampled the work in F&SF magazine. Thank you for demonstrating what kinds of stories we can find in F&SF. Without this article I wouldn't be set on purchasing a copy next time I'm at the book store. I loved both stories! I have been a scifi fan since I graduated from fairy tales in the early 40's directly to scifi! Since my first computer purchase in the early 80's I did get away from reading as much as I once did for a long while. Now when we travel in our RV withut TV or Tivo I am back to reading more! Cataract surgery helped out also! Hope you do a story some day on the "joys" of aging also! I shall try to keep tract of your work so I can read more of your very original and enjoyable stories!
