I hope I live to see F&SF’s one-hundredth anniversary issue. So far my subscription has been well wortth it, especially this year with the classic reprint stories and the great cover artwork!

WOW, the $70 I paid for my lifetime subscription on 12/1/ 1973 is one of the best decisions I ever made for entertainment value. I still have the cancelled check and the note I received from Ed Ferman.

I’ve sent you an email reply, Michael, and I hope you agree that it’s a sweet offer. I hope you see too why I can’t make it public yet.

As for actuarial tables, I leave that up to you, but I’ll note that around the time I was developing in my mother’s womb, Greg Benford took second place in F&SF’s “Unicorn or Univac” competition. First place was $100. Second place was a lifetime sub.

Just ask Greg if he’s upset about coming in second in that contest.

I’d like to know what the bonus is.

Also, what’s the current annual subscription rate? I need to consult some actuarial tables to help me decide if I want to take advantage of this offer…
