Gordon,
Just a quick note of thanks from a freshly retired IT professional that started reading the mag because he didn't have time for sf novels... Being 65 you can well imagine the authors I grew up with.

Sorry to say that after many years we have to pass on renewal and hunker down until the economy/investments improve. You have all done a great job with the publication over the years, and we will return as soon as we are able... many, many thanks.

In the end, we make about the same money from an electronic subscription as from a print sub.

Does F&SF make as much with the electronic subscription as it does with the hard copy?

What is the possibility of getting F&SF on the Kindle? Right now Asimov's and Analog are both available for $2.99 an issue.

What's happening, exactly? Is this involving that seven-cent surcharge by the distributors? (I drop out of the loop more than usual, and I discover that I'll spend weeks trying to get caught up.)

I'm glad I subscribe. I've always hated trying to find a mag that I like on the newsstand only to figure out that the distributor doesn't carry it anymore.

Thanks for keeping the price down on the new upcoming double issues. $6.50 is a reasonable price for a double issue.
