New Doctor

Matt Smith has been named as the successor to David Tennant on the BBC TV series “Doctor Who.” Smith, who will take up the role in 2010, will be the eleventh actor to play the role in the television series. Smith, born in 1982, made his film debut in 2004 in “Gotham, IL” and has appeared on several television series, including the Billie Piper vehicle “Sally Lockhart.”
