Amazon Pulls MacMillan

Amazon.com has pulled all books, whether e-book or hardcopy, published by MacMillan Books from its website. MacMillan includes Tor Books, Farrar, Straus & Giroux, St. Martins Press and Henry Holt. According to Amazon, the dispute is due to MacMillan’s insistence that Amazon raise the price of their e-books available on Kindle to $15. Although the books can no longer be purchased directly from Amazon, they can still be purchased through third party vendors on the site.

This is EXACTLY why you shouldn’t buy a piece of crap like a Kindle nor should a multinational hold the keys to publishing to this extent.
