Obituary: Midge Reitan

Fan Midge Reitan died on January 14. Reitan was active in Chicago fandom, attending Thursday Nights in the mid-70s and co-chairing Windycon 7 in 1980. She was also a frequent attendee of Midwestcon and Worldcons.

    It was a very sad way to start my day by reading this news, Steven. Midge was someone I always looked forward to meeting at Midwestcons, which before I moved out of Ohio two years ago was the last place I regularly saw her. I met her close to 40 years ago. Goodbye Midge, you’ll be missed.

    I will miss her. I always enjoyed her company at Windycons and Minicons and elsewhere. A sad loss.
