Detcon1 Offers YA Award

Detcon1, this year’s NASFiC, has announced the creation of an Award for YA and Middle Grade Speculative Fiction. Presented in conjunction with the Gold Duck Awards, given each year by SuperConDuckTivity, the Detcon1 Award is accepting nominations from the general public through February 28. The final ballot will be provided to members of Detcon1, who will select the winner, who will be announced at Detcon1 in July.

Golden Duck Awards

The winners of the 2013 Golden Duck Awards for Excellence in Children’s Science Fiction were announced at DucKon in Wheeling, Illinois the weekend of June 28. Although the winners were announced at DucKon, the presentation of awards will take place in August at LoneStarCon 3.
