The Speculative Literature Foundation has announced the winner of their annual Gulliver Grant, presented to help an author travel for research in support of their writing. This year’s winner is Joel Arnold, who will receive $500 to travel to Wyoming and Montana to reseach his steampunk novel Coyote Steam.
The Speculative Literature Foundation has announced that Mario Milosevic is the winner of this year’s Older Writers Grant. The $750 prize is given to help writers who are at least 50 years old and beginning to work at a professional level. The award has been given annually since 2004.

Applicants should send in a short biography, writing sample, and bibliography, if applicable. The grant is intended to assist such writers who are just starting to work at a professional level.
