Changes at Tangent Online

Dave Truesdale has announced that both on-line fiction Managing Editor Kevin Tipple and Assistant Managing Editor Steve Fahnestalk have stepped down from their positions at Tangent Online, which reviews short SF/F. Joseph Giddings has been named the new Assistant Managing Editor. Fahnestalk has stepped down to focus on his writing career and Tipple is stepping down for health reasons. Both editors stayed in their positions until Truesdale returned to the on-line world to ensure the smooth continuation of Tangent Online.

Tangent On-line assistant e-zine editor Bryan Thomas Schmidt has resigned. His replacement is Kevin Tipple, who will be taking over the position immediately.

Tangent Takes New Direction

TangentOnline editor David Truesdale has announced several new features of the seventeen-year-old review magazine. Focusing the magazine’s attention on professionally paying short fiction markets (both on-line and in print), TangentOnline will also include columns on classic science fiction and fantasy and a second feature that focuses on pulp magazines of all genres. The relaunched zine includes articles on Michael Moorcock’s “History of the Runestaff” series, the X-Minus One adaptation of a Fritz Leiber story, a look at two stories by Murray Leinster, an article on collecting fantasy art by Robert Weinberg, and reviews of current magazines.
