Tale of the Thunderbolt by E.E. Knight
an audiobook review by Ivy Reisner
There is a weapon that can change the course of the war against the Kurians. Captain David Valentine doesn't know
what it is, or exactly where he can find it, but he does know that if he can get to Haiti with a large enough
ship, he can meet up with a man called Papa Legba who can show him the way. To that end, he goes undercover for a
year as a Coastal Marine in the Kurian Zone, getting promotion after promotion as his own worst enemy.
Way of the Wolf by E.E. Knight
an audiobook review by Ivy Reisner
E. E. Knight's Vampire Earth series, of which Way of the Wolf is the first, is a
tremendous work of post-apocalyptic science fiction with genetically engineered vampires. The
story follows David Valentine, from his beginnings as the adopted son of a minister in the free territories,
through joining the Wolves and becoming like a wolf himself, through his military career against Earth's
new Kurian overlords. Most of the power in this story comes from its excellent and brilliantly executed world building.
Dragon Champion by E.E. Knight
an audiobook review by Nicki Gerlach
Auron is a gray dragon, scaleless and without the hunger for treasure that plagues other dragons.
His lack of armor makes him more vulnerable but also more adept at blending into his surroundings.
After a fierce battle for primacy immediately
post-hatching, Auron is the only male offspring left to his parents. He's bright
and inquisitive, but his world is mostly limited to the confines of the cave in which he was hatched.
All of that changes on the day his cave is invaded by murderous dwarves.
Choice of the Cat by E.E. Knight

Lt. David Valentine is a proud member of the Wolves, an elite squad dedicated to eradicating the Kurian Order from earth. Kurians
are vile. The Masters need Aura energy to live, energy they get from their Reapers when they kill humans. The Reapers are
vampire-like creatures, puppets controlled by the Masters, who in turn command the ape-like grogs. These creatures have formed
a team that is near impossible to beat as the wars that decimated the world have proven.

In 2022, the world as we know it comes to an end. Aliens who call themselves Kurians have taken over Earth. The Kurians are not harmless
and have very sinister designs on humanity. Each Kurian controls a group of Reapers -- a vampire-like wraith who prowls the night stealing
a human's lifeforce or aura. The auras are the means with which the Kurians remain immortal. The Kurians have some of humanity
in league with them. Many people have agreed to help the Kurians by selling out their neighbors.
