On Dragonwings On Dragonwings by Anne McCaffrey
reviewed by Steven H Silver
This book contains three of the Pern novels: Dragonsdawn, Dragonseye, and Moreta: Dragonlady of Pern. These three stories are linked by their portrayal of the history of Pern before the events of Dragonflight, the first Pern novel. One of them, Dragonsdawn, is the book which provides the most detailed answers to the questions raised in The White Dragon. More importantly, it tells a good story.

A Gift of Dragons A Gift of Dragons by Anne McCaffrey
reviewed by Cindy Lynn Speer
This book contains four short stories; three of them from other places, and one brand new. The book is called a gift, and in many ways it truly is, with its small hardcover size, the creamy paper, the sepia print. Every page is a work of art. Tom Kidd illustrated the book, and if one of his beautiful, evocative pictures aren't on it, the text is framed by a pretty, dragon-decorated frame.

Freedom's Ransom Freedom's Ransom by Anne McCaffrey
reviewed by Cindy Lynn Speer
Years ago, Earth was invaded by the Catteni, who stripped the planet bare of everything they could take; food, car parts and people. Several of the newly enslaved humans were taken off-planet to different worlds, where they were dropped off just to see if they could survive. Zainal, a Catteni of high rank and intelligence, was also dropped "accidentally" with several humans, to a planet that was soon named Botany. Zainal and Kris, a human female, led a rebellion to free all the enslaved races from the Eosi.

Nimisha's Ship Nimisha's Ship by Anne McCaffrey
reviewed by Jeri Wright
Anne McCaffrey's latest novel introduces a new world and new characters. Fans of McCaffrey will not be surprised to find a strong female protagonist, lots of adventure, and a bit of romance.

Black Horses for the King Black Horses for the King and If Wishes Were Horses by Anne McCaffrey
reviewed by Regina Lynn Preciado
Both stories feature dedicated, hard-working youngsters making a difference in their worlds, sometimes without their realizing it -- Tirza in If Wishes Were Horses and Galwyn in Black Horses for the King.

The Masterharper of Pern The Masterharper of Pern by Anne McCaffrey
reviewed by Rebecca Pausley
This will become a much-loved novel by Anne McCaffrey fans. It's a fun romp through the woods with many old favourite characters and even more new ones. Rich in character development and story, this book is vintage McCaffrey.
