I also found, in Kirkus Reviews, the quote I wish could be applied to all my books. It read,

"A strange and beautiful book with an unusual depth and nuance of character set forth in lustrous dialogue and prose the texture of honeyed silk."

These are prequels to the Moontide and Magic Rise books, set some forty years earlier. Several of the characters from World Without End and Sea Without a Shore appear in these books, though they are much younger. This series tells the story that went before the story, so to speak.

Much of the first book is set in an elaborate cave system. I was an avid caver for a number of years so the spelunking sections are as real as I could make them, though I must admit I've never been in a cave as fantastic as the one in Beneath the Vaulted Hills!   Next
