One star means that the commercials are more entertaining than the program.
Two stars watch if you have nothing better to do.
Three stars is good solid entertainment.
Four stars means you never dreamed television could be this good.

Heroes The Dresden Files got the ax, but we can look forward in May to new episodes of the two Stargates, as well as the season finales of Heroes, Smallville, and Jericho. Whether Jericho will be back for a second season is anybody's guess. I give Smallville a better than fifty-fifty chance of renewal. Heroes is a sure bet.

Wednesday, May 2
Jericho "Coalition of the Willing" by Frank Military and Josh Schaer

Thursday, May 3
Smallville "Noir" by Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders. Jimmy Olsen dreams about Metropolis in the 1940s, where Clark Kent is a reporter for a great metropolitan newspaper.

Friday, May 4
Stargate Atlantis "Tao of Rodney" by Damian Kindler
Stargate: SG-1 "The Shroud" by Robert C. Cooper and Brad Wright

Monday, May 7
Heroes "The Hard Part" by Joe Pokaski

The Dresden Files Wednesday, May 9
Jericho "Why we Fight" by Carol Barbee and Jonathan E. Steinberg, season finale

Thursday, May 10
Smallville "Prototype" by Steven S. DeKnight

Friday, May 11
Stargate Atlantis "The Game" by Holly Henderson, Don Whitehead, and Carl Binder
Stargate: SG-1 "Bounty" by Damian Kindler

Smallville Monday, May 14
Heroes "Landslide"

Thursday, May 17
Smallville "Phantom" by Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer, featuring the Martian Manhunter. Season finale.

Friday, May 18
Stargate Atlantis "The Ark" by Ken Cuperus
Stargate: SG-1 "Bad Guys" by Martin Gero

Monday, May 21
Heroes "How to Stop an Exploding Man", 2 hour season finale.

And that's it for May. No new shows during the last week.

The two Stargates will air new episodes in June.

Battlestar Galactica The 4400 returns in June.

Dr. Who returns in July.

Star Wars returns, as a TV series, in 2009.

And a new entertainment medium begins, the DVD original, with Babylon 5 The Lost Tales, on sale July 31. Direct to DVD episodes of Battlestar Galactica and Stargate will follow.
