Ratings
Ratings are based on a four star system.
One star means that the commercials are more entertaining than the program.
Two stars watch if you have nothing better to do.
Three stars is good solid entertainment.
Four stars means you never dreamed television could be this good.

V The creators of V and FlashForward hoped the shows would come back strong after their long hiatus, and ABC gave them a lot of ad play, especially during Lost. The viewers weren't buying.

Smallville and Fringe have been renewed and will return in the Fall.

There are a lot of genre shows airing in April, including the season and probably the series finales of V and FlashForward, and the return of Riverworld, which last aired as a made for tv movie in 2003. I suspect it will be years before there are this many genre shows on the air again.

Coming in May are the season finales of Smallville, Lost, and Fringe. In June, there will be the season finale of Stargate Universe. Eureka will be back in July. And The Phantom is coming to SyFy. Press releases describe The Phantom as a "comic book" character, evidently being unfamiliar with the comic strip. (Comics Revue, which I edit, is serializing the classic Phantom story "The Return of the Sky Band" in color.)
