Ratings are based on a four star system.
One star means that the commercials are more entertaining than the program.
Two stars watch if you have nothing better to do.
Three stars is good solid entertainment.
Four stars means you never dreamed television could be this good.

Defying Gravity I've been watching Doctor Who. Most of them have been very good. Aside from that (and, of course, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart) my tv watching has been on DVD, especially Defying Gravity, which is excellent. The DVD of Defying Gravity has five episodes which never aired, continuing the story through the landing on Venus. I've also been watching season four of Have Gun Will Travel, a classic, and Fraggle Rock, which is great when Jerry Jull writes it.

Not much genre tv this Summer. Warehouse 13 and Eureka return. No new South Park in July. I may have to give in and watch some of the vampire shows. If I do, I'll review them in a future column.
