Ratings are based on a four star system.
One star means that the commercials are more entertaining than the program.
Two stars watch if you have nothing better to do.
Three stars is good solid entertainment.
Four stars means you never dreamed television could be this good.

Doctor Who I missed listing the return of Doctor Who in my August column. It aired on August 27th. Lucky for me, my DVR recorded it. If you missed it, you can watch a rerun on September 2.

The conclusion of Season One of Falling Skies was good enough to make me moderately interested in Season Two, which airs Summer 2012.

I got the first season of True Blood from netflix. It is another of those take-it-or-leave-it shows, but better than most.

The best sf on tv this Summer is still Doctor Who, followed by Torchwood.

The big news for September is the premiere of Terra Nova.
