Dear Sir or Madam:

Will you kindly consider Isaac Asimov for a commemorative postage stamp in your Literary Arts series?

Dr. Asimov (1920-1992) was one of America's most prominent writers for more than fifty years. He published his first science fiction story in 1939 and went on to publish more than four hundred books, including classic works of fiction such as The Caves of Steel, The Naked Sun, I, Robot, and the Foundation trilogy. His nonfiction popularized science and dozens of other subjects. He also wrote light verse, copious memoirs, and he edited many anthologies as well.

I think that Dr. Asimov's inclusion in the USPS stamp program would be wonderful and I hope you will consider the possibility.

Sincerely,
