  1. The wonderfully funny Sir Terry Pratchett was born on April 28, 1948 and passed away from Alzheimer's on March 12, 2015. A very funny man and writer is now lost to us. Thank goodness his literary legacy will live on.

"AT LAST, SIR TERRY, WE MUST WALK TOGETHER."
"Terry took Death’s arm and followed him through the doors and on to the black desert under the endless night."

For those not familiar with Discworld, Death speaks in all capitals. The above quotes are from Terry Pratchett's final words on Twitter. His absolute last tweet was "The End."

He died at home with his family around him as he often said he wished to do.

Terry Pratchett just had the last laugh. What do you think of his decision? I have very mixed feelings myself. http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2017/08/30/547330166/in-fitting-postscript-terry-pratchett-had-his-unfinished-works-steamrolled

While I'm sad to see his unfinished works destroyed, who but Sir Terry himself could have completed them?
