We have Solar System News and Galactic News so I think the sun itself deserves its own thread. Starting with the seven year mission to the sun that just began. What's 250 times faster than a speeding bullet - the rocket when it really gets going.

The sun has an eleven year cycle (we're in deep solar minimum right now.) Ever wonder why eleven years? I'll confess that question never seriously crossed my mind. New research says it's the combined gravitational pull of Earth, Venus and Jupiter. https://www.space.com/planets-affect-solar-cycle.html

20 new moons discovered around Saturn, now they need names

Help Name 20 Newly Discovered Moons of Saturn!

Maybe F&SF can put-out a contest bulletin to its readers. That should make for a stimulating challenge for the readership.

PS: Still can't place posts in Solar System News thread.

Exploring Venus still in the works. NASA's Venus Rover Challenge Winners Announced Compared to efforts to explore Mars, Venus has placed "second".

The March/April 2020 issue of Analog intitiated the serial "The House of Styx" by Derek Kunsken which takes place on Venus. Actually, in the upper atmosphere of Venus.
