Recent development in US copyright laws, written about here:

    https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2019/01/a-whole-years-worth-of-works-just-fell-into-the-public-domain/

I am glad about this development.

This might inspire a Plumage from Pegasus story from Paul Di Filippo. And reviewed in Tangent Online. :)

Good news. Like the story's author (Timothy Lee), I had anticipated a new copyright fight to further extend copyright into the future.

Lee Makes an interesting comment: "Most copyrighted works become commercially worthless within a decade or two." With that in mind, maybe we could have a rollback to 14 years with a one time renewal for an additional 14 years.
