Mistake in Silverberg article

    On page 77 of the Sept./Oct. issue the Silverberg article mentions "a strange little piece by one Winona McClintock" in the first issue of our illustrious magazine; the correct name is Winona McClintic.

    That mistake is on me -- I was the last line of defense there, and I didn't catch it, even though I have championed Winona McClintic's work before. My apologies.

    There's another mistake. Mr. Silverberg lists all of the SF magazines that were publishing in 1949 but he did not mention Planet Stories.

    I'm curious if Planet was not distributed well and he was not aware at the time or if he just forgot when he wrote the essay.

    The correction would read, "tic, not tock".
