Wilde Wins Compton Crook Award

Fran Wilde won this year’s Compton Crook Award for best first novel for her book Updraft. The award comes with a prize of $1,000 and the winner will be treated as a guest of honor for two consecutive Balticons. A plaque will be presented to Duncan at Balticon 50. The announcement comes on the heels of Wilde winning the Norton Award for the novel.
