Numerous items from the estate of former Locus publisher Charles N. Brown will be placed on the auction block on the weekend of October 11-12. The lots include pieces of furniture, artwork, and numerous lots of mystery novels, many of which are by authors such as Frederic Brown or Anthony Boucher who also have a tie to science fiction. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Locus Science Fiction Foundation. The auction is being managed by Clars Auction Gallery.
The Locus Science Fiction Foundation has announced a Kickstarter program to raise funds to help preserve, protect, digitize, and make available to the public materials collected over the years by Charles N. Brown. The Foundation’s initial goal is to raise $9,500 in 35 days.
