Sean Wallace has announced that Prime will launch a digitial imprint, Masque Books, in July 2013. The imprint will publish six e-books a month, with the possibility that some times may see an eventually print edition as well. Wallace will serve as publisher while Paula Guran will serve as senior editor and Natalie Luhrs will take on the role as acquisitions editor.
John Joseph Adams, the editor of Lightspeed and Fantasy magazines, has purchased both titles from Sean Wallace at Prime Books. Fantasy debuted in 2005 and Adams became editor in 2011. He was the founding editor of Lightspeed in 2010. Adams will officially become publisher of both magazines in January, 2012.
Fantasy Magazine will relaunch in March 2011 with a new look, new approach, and John Joseph Adams replacing Sean Wallace and Cat Rambo as editor. Wallace will remain the magazine’s publisher and Adams intends to bring the magazine in line with Lightspeed, also published by Prime. Fiction selections made by Wallace and Rambo will run through the February 2011 issue.
Sean Wallace has stepped down as editor of Clarkesworld Magazine following the publication of issue #50. Wallace recently became the father of twins. Clarkesworld publisher Neil Clarke has also announced the addition of Jeremy L. C. Jones as a staff interviewer and Daniel Robichaud as a slush reader.
