Pluto May Have Rings
There is now a theory that all three of Pluto's moons, Charon, P1 and P2, were formed from the same event, a large impact on the planet. The scientists who have proposed the scenario say that if it is true, it is likely that Pluto also will prove to have a particle ring. The diameters of P1 and P2 (60 & 50km) also leads to speculation that the total number of known moons around Pluto will increase by the time New Horizons reaches the planet. P1 and Charon have an orbital resonance of 1:6 and P2 and Charon have an orbital resonance of 1:4.
