What's happened to the SF Site?
As we've stated elsewhere, the SF Site is dedicated to the best in science fiction and fantasy, in print and media, on the Web and off. To this end, we've used search engines, contacts with folk in the field, computer and Internet magazines, and a host of other resources to put together the SF Site. Whenever somthing strikes our interest, we add a page or two. This ongoing committment means we must keep up with what is going on in the field and put together the details in an informative manner.

Each month, we analyse the site statistics of visitors, emails from folk interested in contacting us and visiting a lot of other sites both within the science fiction and fantasy field and outside of it. An obvious pattern has emerged. Our most popular pages are our feature and review pages. There is a great deal of interest in our link pages with perhaps the most email coming to us about our Author and Fan Tribute Pages.

With this in mind, we set out to redesign the SF Site. The new design builds upon the old one. Rather than go through all the pages and rework them (and likely cause confusion to our regular visitors), we're focusing upon those popular elements. Our previous home page remains but has been renamed the Contents Page, a gateway to all of the SF Site links. We plan to place all the current links to new reviews on our home page. The page will change regularly but links to previous versions of the home pages will appear prominently.

With each issue, we will place links upon the new pages which will lead you to previous pages of similar content. For example, one feature is our First Novel reviews. Each First Novel page will contain links to all other First Novel reviews plus any relevant links within the SF Site. As well, we'll feature our various Departments. This time it is our pages for X-Files, Role-Playing, Publishers, Conventions and EZines & Mags.
